Cortex for Upwork
Cortex for Upwork stores the user's scoring preferences locally in the browser using Chrome storage.
These preferences may include:
- skills entered by the user
- minimum hourly rate
- minimum fixed-price budget
- preferred job type
If the user chooses to join the updates list, the extension may also send:
- email address
- optional name
- submission timestamp
- extension version
to the product owner's configured webhook endpoint.
What the extension does not do
- It does not require account creation to score jobs.
- It does not send Upwork job data to a backend for scoring in this version.
- It does not track browsing outside the supported Upwork pages.
Data use
Email addresses collected through the updates form are used only for product updates, waitlist communication, or launch-related outreach.
